At DKSH, we're proud of our rich history, which began 160 years ago in Yokohama. Did you know that DKSH played a vital role in the development of Japan’s silk industry? Our predecessor companies, Siber & Brennwald, and later Siber & Wolf, were instrumental in elevating the quality of Japanese silk to international standard. Back in the 19th century, by engaging Swiss and Italian Textile specialists, the company elevated Japanese silk production to global standard. Also, by introducing strict quality control and affixing the factory's trademark as proof of high-quality the company ensured the consistent excellence of Japanese silk, leading to recognition both domestically and internationally.
