🌏 How can we ensure health, safety and wellbeing in an ageing society? Today in Osaka, ISO President Dr. Sung Hwan Cho addressed this urgent question at the International Standardization Forum. With nearly 30% of Japan’s population aged 65+, and global demographics shifting fast, the need for inclusive, connected and resilient systems is more important than ever. 🚀 Today at the AI for Good Summit, we launched two flagship papers on AI and multimedia authenticity! As part of the AMAS workshop, led by IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), International Telecommunication Union and ISO, we kicked off with an opening session featuring: ✔️ Dr. Alessandra Sala (Global President, Women in AI & Chair, AMAS)  ✔️Cindy Parokkil (AI Policy Lead & Programme Manager, ISO)  ✔️Touradj Ebrahimi (EPFL Professor & Convenor, JPEG Group)  ✔️Leonard Rosenthol (Senior Principal Architect, Adobe) We explored how International Standards for watermarking, provenance, and detection can empower policymakers and regulators to fight deepfakes, misinformation, and strengthen media authenticity 🌍 Our collaboration launched two landmark papers: ✅ A technical paper mapping current standards on digital media authenticity and AI  ✅ A policy paper offering concrete guidance for effective regulation of synthetic multimedia content Together, these papers lay the foundation for a transparent global approach to AI-generated content and set the scene for further discussion ahead of the International AI Standards Summit in Seoul this December. 🔗 Read the full media release and download the papers here: https://lnkd.in/evyYdrDu #AIforGood #AIStandards #ResponsibleAI #TrustInAI #InternationalStandards

🚀 Our week at the AI for Good Global Summit 2025 continues!  Today, as part of the AI and Multimedia Authenticity Standards Collaboration (AMAS), a global, multistakeholder initiative led by IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), International Telecommunication Union and ISO, we proudly hosted a workshop on policy to practice: building trust in multimedia authenticity through International Standards. 🎯 Why does it matter?  Because misinformation, disinformation, and deepfakes are ranked the #1 global threat today. We urgently need cross-border, coordinated solutions. Today’s session was no theoretical exercise. It was a hands-on, real-world application of the the AI policy paper developed by AMAS. We put ideas into practice and demonstrated how standards can support responsible AI governance in action.
