📢 Polymer producers: Control the temperature. Ensure the #polymer quality. Struggling with temperature control during polymer production? Fouling, uneven flow and temperature variation. These issues ruin polymer product quality and drive-up maintenance costs. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Precise temperature control is the key to consistent polymer grade and reliable product performance. Our #static #mixer-based heat exchangers transfer heat 3 to 4 times more efficiently than conventional heat exchangers. Built-in mixing elements prevent fouling, eliminate stagnant zones, and ensure uniform temperature across the flow. No need for dynamic equipment. Reliable. Scalable. Maintenance-friendly. 🤝 A milestone for carbon capture in Switzerland 🤝 Sulzer officially signed the agreement with Kehrichtverwertung Zürcher Oberland (KEZO) to launch the country’s first carbon capture pilot at a waste recycling plant in Hinwil, Switzerland. This is a major step in validating the technology’s commercial viability for KEZO’s planned new municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) plant. Pending validation, a scaled carbon capture unit can be integrated at the new MSWI facility to capture up to 120’000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, thereby supporting Switzerland’s net-zero ambitions. The signing ceremony reflects our shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and progress in waste-to-energy and emissions reduction. 📖 Read the full story: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dQdDpckY 📸 From left: Ilja Mikenberg, Global Head Process Solutions, Sulzer; Dr. Christian Schucan, Supervisory Board President, KEZO; Suzanne Thoma, Executive Chairwoman, Sulzer; Daniel Böni, Managing Director, KEZO; Simone Riacà, Regional Sales Manager, Sulzer; and Urs Dubs, Project Manager, KEZO

♻️ Kehrichtverwertung Zürcher Oberland (KEZO) and Sulzer launch Switzerland’s first pilot for carbon capture at a waste recycling plant ♻️ We are excited to partner with KEZO to develop and deliver a CO₂ capture solution for their facility in Hinwil, Switzerland. This pilot project marks a major step in validating the integration of carbon capture technology for KEZO's municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) plant. Sulzer’s pre-assembled modular unit will capture up to 1'000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, with the captured carbon reused in a nearby greenhouse, showcasing efficient, circular resource use. Pending success, KEZO’s future MSWI plant (planned for 2030) could scale this solution to capture up to 120'000 tonnes of CO₂ per year, directly supporting Switzerland’s net-zero goals. This project proves how innovation and collaboration can drive meaningful progress in decarbonization through technology and strategic collaboration. 📖 Read more in our official media release: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dQdDpckY

Last week, Sulzer Chemtech joined the AMI Chemical Recycling event in Brussels (https://lnkd.in/eyg7xf9e), sharing our vision on enhancing sustainability and efficiency in advanced #recycling. Emmanuelle Chauveau's presentation gave an overview of Sulzer's dissolution recycling solution and was well received by an engaged audience. We also co-hosted a seminar with our catalyst partner BASF Chemical Catalysts and Adsorbents. The response from producers and users across the chemical recycling value chain was excellent, with engaged discussions about practical solutions for plastics circularity and more particularly upgrading of plastic pyrolysis oils. Working with partners like BASF, we are moving beyond talk to deliver real solutions. Irina Yarulina and Joeri Dieltjens also shared another exciting update with the conference attendees. The launch of our new EcoStyrene technology (https://lnkd.in/eMvenCFK) which makes #polystyrene recycling more scalable and economically viable. Excited to build on this momentum and make plastics recycling work at scale.
